Cookie Policy
This is a working draft for testing and launch prep. It is not legal advice. Complete the controller details and have a lawyer review the text before a public launch.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Snapuj uses them so the gallery and sign-in work — for Hosts and for Guests without an email account.
2. Cookies we use (necessary only)
SNAPUJ_LOCALE — interface language (PL/EN), up to 12 months.
Auth provider session cookies (Supabase, name like sb-…-auth-token) — keep the Host signed in and keep a Guest’s anonymous session so they need not rejoin on every refresh.
snapuj_consent — remembers that you saw the cookie notice, up to 12 months.
We do not currently use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies (no Google Analytics / Meta Pixel). If that changes, we will ask for a separate opt-in and update this policy.
3. Local storage (not a cookie)
snapuj_guest_name — Guest display name in the browser so it need not be retyped. Clear site data in the browser to remove it.
4. Consent
Cookies strictly necessary to provide the service you requested (gallery access, session, language) do not need marketing consent — we must still inform you. Tapping “Got it” stores that acknowledgement so the bar is not shown on every page.
The same notice applies to signed-in users and Guests: both need a session to see a private gallery.
You may block cookies in the browser. Sign-in, Guest join, and language memory may then stop working.
